Digitalisation that
actually lands.
Most SMEs do not fail because of technology — they fail at implementation. Nikolevski Consulting analyses your workflows, selects the right tools, and stays until your team is genuinely working with them.
Where digitalisation in SMEs really breaks down
After a while the patterns become familiar. It is rarely the big strategic questions — it is three very concrete blockers.
Everyone knows, nobody has time
The double entry between quote, report and accounting has been irritating for years. There is simply never the one week in which it could be removed for good.
Software bought, never introduced
Licences are running at half throttle: nobody knows half the features, and the old spreadsheet everyone actually trusts is still in use alongside.
AI as a buzzword, not a tool
A few employees use ChatGPT on their own initiative, without rules and without a data protection assessment. Productive, safe use inside a process is missing.
Four fields, one goal: less manual work, better decisions
The areas interlock. Most engagements start with an analysis — what follows is decided by the findings, not by a sales target.
AI implementation for SMEs
From potential to production: find suitable use cases, select tools, settle data protection under revFADP, enable your people.

Automate recurring workflows and connect systems — with Make, n8n, Power Automate or purpose-built interfaces.

Digital strategy, vendor-neutral software selection and rollout support — so the next investment actually gets used.

Fast, maintainable websites that get found in Google and cited in AI answers — technically clean, without page-builder bloat.
View web developmentFour phases — each one ends with a result
No project runs for months without visible benefit. After every phase you decide again whether and how to continue.
Understand
Half a day to a full day in your business: observe the workflows, talk to the people who run them daily, review existing systems and data quality. What counts is the real path of a job through your company, not the org chart.
Prioritise
Every opportunity found is rated by effort, impact and risk. That produces an order — starting with what provides noticeable relief quickly and builds confidence in the undertaking.
Implement
The solution is built, configured and tested with real data — together with someone from your team, so the knowledge stays in the house rather than with the consultant.
Embed
Training, short instructions in your own language, and a measurement point: did it actually get better? After four to eight weeks we adjust whatever behaves differently in daily use than planned.
Consulting that gets its hands dirty
Around twenty years across the workshop floor, aviation, the electrical engineering industry and software development have confirmed one thing repeatedly: a concept nobody implements is more expensive than no concept at all. That is why an engagement here ends with a running system, not with a presentation.
- Implementation included. Automations, interfaces and configurations are built, not just recommended.
- Vendor-neutral. No commissions, no partner agreements — the recommendation follows your needs.
- Understandable over impressive. Every explanation has to work on the shop floor as well as in the office.
- In stages. Small, finished steps with real benefit instead of one large project with an open end.
- Data protection first. revFADP and GDPR questions are settled before tool selection, not afterwards.
- Knowledge transfer. Your team is enabled to run and extend the solution itself.
Where does your company stand digitally?
The Digital Check is a twelve-question self-assessment. It scores four dimensions — processes, data & systems, AI maturity and digital visibility — and shows where the next sensible step lies.
Takes about five minutes. The evaluation runs entirely in your browser: no answers are transmitted and no email address is requested.
What you get
- An overall score from 0 to 100 with interpretation
- A detailed score per dimension
- Three concrete recommendations for your weakest areas
- No registration, no newsletter, no tracking

What clients ask before the first conversation
What exactly does Nikolevski Consulting do?
Nikolevski Consulting is an independent consultancy for digitalisation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Switzerland. The work covers four fields: AI implementation, process automation, vendor-neutral digital and software consulting, and web development. Unlike classic consultancies, the engagement does not end with a concept — solutions are implemented together with your team and supported until they run in production.
Which companies is this for?
Typical clients are Swiss SMEs with 5 to 250 employees that are growing noticeably or losing time to manual work: trades and construction firms, service providers, fiduciary and engineering offices, retail and light industry. The industry matters less than the pattern: recurring workflows that cost time today and could be handled by software or a model tomorrow.
What does an engagement cost?
It depends on scope. The main drivers are the number of processes involved, the quality of your existing data, how many systems need to talk to each other, and how much of the implementation you take on yourself. Small, clearly bounded automations cost considerably less than a multi-month transformation engagement. You receive a written quote with a fixed ceiling before any work starts — no open-ended hourly lists. The intro call is free and non-binding.
How long does a project take?
A potential analysis usually produces a solid picture within two to three weeks. A first automation is often in production after four to eight weeks. Larger undertakings — replacing a legacy island solution, for example — are deliberately cut into stages so that each stage ends with something usable.
Is my data safe when AI is involved?
Data protection is settled before tool selection, not after. Every solution is checked against the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, if you have customers in the EU, against the GDPR. In practice that means: a clear definition of which data a model may see, providers processing in Switzerland or the EU, a data processing agreement, and locally hosted models where the sensitivity requires it.
Do you work with specific software vendors?
No. Nikolevski Consulting receives no commissions, kickbacks or referral fees from software vendors. The recommendation follows your process, your budget and your team — including when the answer is that your existing solution stays and simply needs to be configured properly.
Which region do you serve?
The base is Luzern, and work covers German-speaking Switzerland — on site for workshops and rollouts, remote for everything that works better remotely. Consulting languages are German and English.
A conversation that is useful even if we never work together.
30 minutes, free and without sales pressure: you describe your situation, I tell you honestly where I see the biggest potential — and whether I am the right person for it.
